Introvert or Extrovert Test: What Percentage Are You?

Answer honestly: there are no right or wrong answers.

What does it mean to be an introvert or an extrovert?

The ideas of introversion and extraversion were popularized by the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung in his 1921 book Psychological Types. The simplest way to understand them is through energy: extroverts tend to gain energy from social activity, while introverts tend to recharge through time alone or in calm settings.

Being an introvert is not the same as being shy. Shyness is discomfort or fear in social situations; many introverts are confident and sociable, they simply need more quiet time afterwards. In the same way, extroverts can enjoy reading alone, they just feel more alive around people.

What is an ambivert?

Most people are not at the extremes. An ambivert has traits of both sides and adapts depending on the situation, the mood or the company. Modern personality models, such as the Big Five, treat extraversion as a spectrum rather than two boxes, which is why this test gives you a percentage.

How accurate is this test?

This quiz is a fun, simplified self-reflection tool based on everyday situations. It is not a clinical or professional assessment. Your result can change depending on your mood, your age or the period of life you are in, and that’s perfectly normal.
